Gas geyser not igniting
It will not light up, or it clicks without catching the flame.
Geyser saru thatu nathi, ke click thay chhe pan flame pakadto nathi.
Why this happens
- Dead batteries in a battery-ignition model
- Low gas pressure or an empty cylinder
- A clogged burner or igniter, or moisture around it
- Low water pressure not triggering the flow sensor
Safe checks you can try
- Replace the ignition batteries; this is the most common fix
- Check the cylinder has gas and the regulator is on
- Open the hot tap fully; low water flow will not start the geyser
- Gently clean and dry around the igniter; if there is still no spark, call a technician
If you smell gas while it will not light, stop. Turn off the gas and read the Gas smell guide first.
