Washing machine not draining

Why this happens

• A blocked drain filter or hose
• A kinked or too-high drain pipe
• A foreign object (a coin) stuck in the pump
• A faulty drain pump

Safe checks you can try

1. Turn off and unplug the machine
2. Clean the drain filter (bottom-front on front-loaders)
3. Check the drain hose is not kinked or raised too high
4. A stuck object or a pump fault needs a technician
