Washing machine not spinning
The drum will not spin, or clothes come out soaking wet.

Why this happens
- An unbalanced or overloaded drum
- Water not draining, so it will not spin
- A lid or door switch fault
- A worn belt or motor
Safe checks you can try
- Spread the load evenly and take out some clothes
- Make sure the door or lid is shut properly
- Check the drain filter and hose are not blocked (it will not spin until drained)
- If there is still no spin, the belt, motor or switch needs checking
Most no-spin cases are an unbalanced load or a drain block. Fix those first.
